Liver Herbal Tea is blended to detoxify, protect, and strengthen liver health and its functions. Herbs such as Calendula Flower, Dandelion Root, Peppermint Leaf, and Turmeric detoxify and supports the breakdown of fats in the liver. Artichoke Leaf, Burdock Root, and Chicory Root are powerful anti-inflammatory herbs which protect the liver from damage, while Milk Thistle Seed helps to reduce inflammation. Antiviral botanicals, such as Licorice Root fortify the liver from damage.

Daily 4 to 6 weeks, then a 1 week break

Botanicals:

Artichoke Leaf: Artichoke Leaf helps to protect the liver from damage. The antioxidants cynarin and silymarin in Artichoke Leaf are beneficial in reducing inflammation, lessening fat deposition, and promoting the growth of new tissue.

Burdock Root: Burdock Root helps prevent damage to the liver and is effective in treating liver damage. It improves liver function and elimination while decreasing the amount of lipids deposited into the liver. Studies have also shown that Burdock Root increases the amount of glutathione in the liver, an antioxidant that helps protect the liver from harmful chemicals.

Calendula Flower: Calendula Flower is antiviral and is beneficial in detoxifying the body, especially the liver and gallbladder.

Chicory Root: Chicory Root is full of antioxidants that provide functional support to the liver, reduce oxidative stress, and improve liver health. It protects against free radical formation, preventing toxicity in the liver. Chicory Root helps to detox the liver and supports the breakdown of fats by increasing the flow of bile.

Dandelion Root: Dandelion Root is considered a powerful liver tonic due to its ability to increase the flow of bile. Increased bile production helps the liver to process foods, effectively remove toxins, and efficiently clean the liver. The polysaccharides in Dandelion Root help to reduce stress on the liver and support the liver’s ability to produce bile.

Licorice Root: Licorice Root is full of anti-inflammatory and antiviral properties. The primary active plant compound in Licorice root is the saponin compound, glycyrrhizin. Glycyrrhizin is beneficial in the treatment of viruses that infect the liver through antimicrobial activity.

Milk Thistle Seed: Milk Thistle Seed has potent antioxidant properties that help to prevent toxins from attaching to liver cells. Milk Thistle Seed eases inflammation, boosts cell repair, and reduces key liver enzymes that support healthy function of the liver.

Peppermint Leaf: Peppermint Leaf boosts the production of bile, which increases the digestion of fats and helps to balance cholesterol levels.
